This is one of my favorite pieces on this site.
@dawnbringer: you are very right about the palette. The colors serve this piece, but are less ideal from a universal standpoint.
I don't mind the staircase outline; to me it celebrates the medium. It might seem out of place with all the curves, but there are several "echoes" (the bust line and the leaves) that keep it from being inconsistent. As always, the belly is in the eye of the beholder.
It's a very nice palette; and you even found a slot for magenta. Although I would brighten the dark grey [92,94,110] by 8 or so, as that would separate it from the dark green, interpolate the blues better and add add another shade.
For the "doodle" you could tuck that belly, fix that staircase outline at the back of the thigh... ;)
Other than that; it's quite brilliant :)
It's really more about the palette -- the piece is just a doodle to test it. Made it up as I went along, so it doesn't offer the most consistent visual narrative.
It's perfect... But I don't expect anything less from you. ;)
I dont really understand whats going on, is it day or night? Where is she? Who is she shooting at? (is it a real sentence?)
Yup, too bad BB hasn't been more active over the past few years. Not that I'm one to talk, but you know :)
