I'll have to try that game, watching paint dry is my second favourite hobby, after watching grass grom in super slow motion with my eyes pinned open a la Clockwork Orange. 

 gladly opinions do differ a lot on all kinds of things, including games 

Same as Metaru for the animation, rest of the piece is nice. 

Also, while I won't go to the same extremes as 8BitBeard, I find it nice that a few games out there are all about ambience and storytelling and the simple fact that the game is not force-feeding its players with mindless violence is really refreshing (no pun intended).

Maybe I should just try drying paint watching :)

 But then when you actually play it it's a lot of fun.

Or a tedious piece of garbage that feels pretty like someone made a really fun usual type of game then removed anything remotely interesting before releasing it and people are going stupidly insane about what a 'artful masterpiece' it is when it's about as much fun to play as watching paint dry...

the animation speed is way too fast and choppy. you're lacking a few frames to smooth it out.

 This may the most most important game in the last 10 years, maybe of all times. 

Wanted to do a pixel version of the little guy as well :-)
