Awesome! I love the 3D effect.
Only thing is the eyes should remain 4 pixel squares the whole time and the head moves wierdly
Impressive work! The only thing that bugs me about it, is the eyes :)
It looks rather mechanical, but for what it's worth, you've achieved a believable three-dimensional effect and made dithering look nice- both of which are admirable accomplishments.
Really smooth and great animation.
Are you aware that his face bobs downwards when he's looking straight at the camera though?
it's really smooth up until he faces perfectly straight at the 'camera' and then there's a single frame of his head bobbing downwards..
Just thought i'd point it out.
Love how smooth the dithering is too. looks tricky.
Hey man, this is wonderful! I hope to see more from that game. [:
this is quite a feat to accomplish to keep the dithering so well defined. and i agree it gives it the illusion of being 3 dimensions. of course it helps that you likely have an asston of frames to keep it smooth enough to look 3d. regardless i commend your efforts im sure it was quite exhausting.
Thank You. Since the entire game must use only these four colours, I composed the palette especially carefully.
Now with different dithering, it allows me to express quite any material i need in the game.
About the torso - thanks,
I agree and try to make it more dynamic for other actions.
The turn however stays the same for now. I have to move on.
Agree with _Connor, the classic old 3D dithering enhances the feel too. Supersmooth! And I also like the palette.
The torso seems a bit too stiff though.
The animation is insane, i could mistake this for 3d lol.
If someone made graphics like these and put them in the Doom engine, everybody would think they were 3d models :)
