Life Dairy (Level 4 Deputy) @ 4/9/2012 16:12

the order for the winners is in reverse in my opinion

CPearson (Level 4 Murderer) @ 4/9/2012 05:52

This should have placed first or second.

philippejugnet (Level 6 Hitman) @ 4/6/2012 16:45

A Tax Collector & A Velociraptor

philippejugnet (Level 6 Hitman) @ 4/2/2012 10:48

just saw a mistake in the supposed nail in his right hand last finger fom his left to his right

Sohei (Level 7 Ichikyu) @ 4/2/2012 06:18

Okay, fine. You can have both: animated and static :3

thatlouise (Level 1 Depressed) @ 4/2/2012 04:54

Oh my..!

philippejugnet (Level 6 Hitman) @ 4/2/2012 04:18

dragon is a bit too fast, but this is amazing

Papermoon (Level 4 Button Man) @ 4/2/2012 02:09

ooh that's cool.. no actually badass especially the dragon! : )
it's very difficult to imitate mr. syosa's animation style though.
his framerate/number is pretty much unique and unmatched i think ; )
but you did your best. i like the concept / idea of the pic.

Hapiel (Level 11 Bonsai) @ 4/2/2012 01:48

I am not sure if the animation is an improvement. The dragon could be much slower maybe? like half of the speed when moving and a pause on either side!

Still I just voted for you :)

The Fry Bat (Level 5 Detective) @ 4/2/2012 00:15

I can appreciate the effort you put into it, but the more animation you tack on to this, the less appealing and less Syosa-like this becomes. :c

Dastal (Level 3 Hatchet Man) @ 4/2/2012 00:08

Same, I prefer it without animation, btw its a great sprite.

Tuna Unleashed (Level 4 Mercenary) @ 4/1/2012 21:04

this would really be much better if it wasnt animated, or if the animation was less spastic. also, the shirt thing is looking kind of cluttered and doesnt really fit with the piece at all. Other than that, this looks great.

Sohei (Level 7 Ichikyu) @ 4/1/2012 20:46

Thank you for all the kind words, hints and advices. Because of them I've managed to push this piece even more. Now animuted with couple of secondary motions. I think I can't make any better without having to remake the whole animation with proper key frames.

slym (Level 8 Rear Admiral) @ 4/1/2012 13:44

Awesome dragon.  Love this piece so much. I only wish you had a slight animation with his right leg.  Did I mention the dragon is awesome?

HotDog (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 3/31/2012 20:55

 so good work, bro

st0ven (Level 2 Dealer) @ 3/31/2012 15:46

its a cool piece. i think you did a good job emulating some of the theatrical flair syosa seems to integrate into his character designs.

Im almost wondering if i sort of prefer this to be a static piece. because the motion is so confined to such a limited region of the image, it just reinforces how static the rest of the image is. i realize its just a weekly challenge though and that would be a lot of work to fully animate.

some of the orange values flatten out a bit too much, also i believe that he tends to ramp them to purple, which would have helped integrate some of the dinosaurs hue into the human figure.

Hapiel (Level 11 Bonsai) @ 3/31/2012 06:07

Wow, great replica! Not all lines are clean though, and I wonder if he would have filled up every empty spot but it still works out good!

maganegorap (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/31/2012 06:07

I swear if before I see the Fool's April Challenge i think: Uhu!Syosa posted a pixel!

grinningCat (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/31/2012 03:17

oh man, that dinosaur is really cool.

failureboy (Level 7 Assassin) @ 3/31/2012 03:01

This is great.

I like the single-colored back leg.  Only crit I can think of is I'm not sure what the thing is sticking out of the hat (a feather)?

ellie-is (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 3/31/2012 02:27

Perfect! You captured Syyosa's style wonderfully.

Alex Pang (Level 7 Underboss) @ 3/31/2012 01:26

That looks really nice!

Thought I feel like you could remove some of the details on his/her skirt.

Btw, I'm glad to see you posting again :)

iMoose (Level 6 SWAT) @ 3/30/2012 23:50

 Recognized Syosa immediately. Excellent work
