Very good cartoon-style lineart and colors. 
If you'll add some animation to hat, belly and hands it woult be totally awesome! 
Thanks for the feedback guys, will have to implement some of your suggestions when i've got some free time available. I created this during a class, so i didn't really put huge amount of detail or effort into it ( plus this is my first time of using pixel art for a game )

Though I would like to see more shading on his belly.
Appendages shouldn't go with the movement at the same time, they always stay behind and follow the movement. It would be better if you let that piece of string follow the movement 1 or 2 frames later. Now it looks like it has muscles too or something. :p
The lighter the appendage, the faster the movement, the longer it stays behind.
