Very clean pixel art and the idea of the object is original compared to other entries.
I think this would have to be my favourite out the challenge entries so far, it's an amazingly good use of the colours available and a wonderful idea for something typically "small" as well! :D
Mind that it is the MSoffice palette, not quite the MSpaint ;)
@Adarias: Haha that broken tray was a last minute addition after I decided the perfect curviness of the pot was too boring.
@Hapiel: Yeah, the default MSPaint palette is apparently kind of close to my usual color choices. Whether this means my color choices are unsophisticated and raw or if I'm good at adapting I don't know :P
Oh, and the black color is actually the next nearest gray to black, not pure black. Don't know why I chose to go one shade of gray up, but w'evver.
Bonsai was also one of my ideas! I planned to do something with it if I finished early with my apple.
I am glad you've done it before me though, this is unbeatable! Great colors (I see no restrictions!) and cool pot & leave pattern!
Works well with the black outline and transparancy (at least on my BG) :D
beautiful color use, perfect fit for the challenge, and even captures some of that wabi-sabi quality (even though you'd never see a broken tray in a 'real' bonsai piece ;-))
That's a quite effective use of the palette. I almost like the purple one better.
Very nice pixels! I like the purple version most, has a mini-cherry blossom look. ^_^
wonderfull
