I was going to leave him, after making the fur-like texture, but it was too plain to me, so i used my weird imagination, lol.

Anyway, thanks for the crit.

 Looks more like a red panda, since raccoons are grey. The texture doesn't say 'fur' to me.

 nice raccon! It seems to be missing one of its hindlegs though? I like the way you textured it, maybe if it was more indicative of how the raccoon is shaded?

For example, right now the light seems to be coming from around the raccoon's shoulder, but from that point the right knee would also be highlighted. 

I guess I would also avoid groups of black outline, you want to keep the outline a consistent width. So maybe for places like the right ear or the knee where the black is two pixels you could just use the darker brown to distinguish between the two lines.
