Well thanks for changing it; the mustache is really good as for separating the sexes.  The girl's hair looks way better now.. Now there's nothing stopping me from faving this.

Thanks, I was not sure if I should add the miner a mustache since I was thinking it might take away the little bit of face that's showing, and other than that it would also remind of Mario since Marios mustache is his trademark haha.

However, a lot of people suggested to add mustache so I decided to give in..

Really nice how the characters pop out and the stone textures are very good. I also like the color choices of the sprites very much. A mustache would be a great touch; I agree with S2elaine. The ponytail on the girl is a bad touch in my opinion though.. it seems she must have a hole in her safety cap for the ponytail to be so high.. another hairstyle like braids or something would be better or just feminizing the shape of the sprite to better distinguish them. pink may not be enough.. because the hair is dark I didn't realize it was a girl for a bit.

Platforms on the second screen could pop out more (reduce contrast in the BG, maybe?).

Good, unique textures overall.   Cute characters.

I still say give him a moostache >:3
