Thanks for the comment. I thought the wiggly-ness (per-se..) of the lines in the background created more of a cutesy feel. Guess not. xD I was also having difficulty with the eyes which led me to pasting it because I couldn't get it to look right. (Not something I do unless I have to). This is in a fact a drawing, but Stava told me to submit it even though I insisted it's not pixels so that should explain some of it. ._.
I think this is an improvement, but still could use work. the copy+paste eyes seem a little lazy given that they're pretty simple to make. anti-aliasing would help a lot here, since you're going for large flat color fields and a smooth vectore-esque look, and the 'pixelly' aspect isn't being taken advantage of. also curious why the lines in the background aren't perfect 45 degree lines (perfect lines in pixel art, no jaggies like the current lines). the lack of pixel precision in the linework makes it feel like it was drawn with a fat brush and not cleaned up, which means the focus is on the linework and not the actual pixels. Which is a good place to start, but really careful placement of the individual pixels will make it shine as pixel art. might also be a useful exercise to use a 1x1 brush and try to make an image 1/4 to 1/2 the size with the same amount of detail.
Aren't you taking this a little bit hard on him cure ?
S2Elaine . You should try smaller pictures and make them shine in your own way . Don't make a mega hamburger or what ever you did . Make something smaller instead . And practis from there . Practis shading , making lines and do your own cute things like that purple dog doll . Watch tutorials and great pieces of art like stuff that cure makes and so on . Also use your imagination as much as possible . People don't wan't to see an hotdog with onions on it , they wan't to see an screaming hotdog that is skating !
Now show the world who you are and spit it in the face ! Good luck ! (Sorry for my bad english..XD)
