Yes, I believe dithering is too much. It makes everything look rough.
And I think you should use a more saturated color for the stones on the ground.
Other than that everything looks really nice :)
Yes, I am a begginer! I dont know exactly how and when to use dithering.
The bird's belly have a lot of unnecessary dithering. And I tried to make the pig look a little bit "furry" but looks like I failed =P
So, the main point to fix is the dithering, right?
I really appreciate any more thoughts about this piece, 'cause I want to make a bigger one with these characters.
Anyway, I rushed to finish it in the end because I should have been studying for my calculus test, not drawing =D
dithering is rendered useless when you manage to jam 22 so many colors into such a simple and small piece. one should take into consideration that dither is not part of the shading process(in other words, you do not have to dither in order to shade)
i see there are attempts at selout and antialiasing, wich kinda shows you did try to apply techniques you dont really seem to fully understand.
I like the concept. However, I think there is too much dithering because you lose the sense of texture when everything is shaded the same.
Thanks everybody,
I will not fix this one because I submitted to the weekly challenge.
But I will try to not dither excessively in my next piece. ;)
