I didn't know, I just get 40 people added you to their watch, it doesn't show specifically as here.
you got a lucky monthly top huh? 4rth! omg I wan't that one!
Thanks man.. I saw you got one since I watch you there (very closely too jk). That's pretty cool to get a lot of of page views.. I think I only got like 500-600 faves, but mine's weird so a lot of normal people probably didn't get it...But damn 1500+ faves on 'Loof Forest'!? I'm jealous now! :p
You should watch me there in return because I'm gonna be posting a non pixel art piece that I've been working on for a pretty long time now. My first tablet painting; and I'm trying to educe symbolic ideas from other artists to be incorperated into that piece as well.
DD is great! I am reaching 1500 ^^ Good job on your DD!
Thanks a lot Supah17 and Elastico and everyone else who rated. I actually got a Daily Deviation yesterday as well.. so 24 hours of DA famousness is equal to 15 minutes of real full on media famousness :p in a way!
@Votali Obscur Thanks.. and I find it funny that the monsters terrified you :)
I should have added casted shadows :( I will get to an edit later; it's been submitted for so long now.
Looks like an oil painting but a game at the same time. Gorgeous work.
I'll would love to see more FFVI fanart from you!
And I relised now that neither the heroines nor the monsters are casting shadows, but the overall impression is very good.
Those ennemies used to terrified me when i was a kid (the flying head!!). Very impressive piece, instafav!
Thanks I will make a 40 color alt version featuring the White cloaked and lime green version when I get back because I can just plop the sprite over this one heheh. Because a few FFVI fans have requested that version. I personally have always liked the yellow Celes. I'll send it your way when so; be back in 3 weeks. Was supposed to leave today but something happened last minute and urg... stress
Please rate this high fellow pixel pushers \o/
Definetely great. MY only critique would be that Celes could have some more color, maybe a bit of blue, shes seems a tad monotonous compared to Terra.
\o/ 20 faves [Keep them comming; I love you]
I edited the two easy-to-fix orientation issues; moved the beaked beast over a bit so it's not clashing with the reptile and move the buddha-head back a bit. For the bigger critiques I'll keep them in mind for future projects.
lookin' real sharp, the figures don't seem grounded though. the buddha-head monster crowds the composition a bit imo.
I have to say I like the business of this piece -- it helps cature the "feel" of the world of ruin very well. Also, you did a phenomonal job with Terra.
There's an uncomfortable tangent where the beak of the bottom-right monster meets the arm of the horned fella. Other than that though, fantastic piece! :)
This is clearly incredibly tight and skilled pixeling, but not without flaws. The blue haired girl and the pyramid bug are the two only creatures that seem to not be cardboard cutouts pasted onto the canvas. The sky is also incredibly busy, and combined with the very blended color usage, the background is kind of exhausting to the eye especially when trying to read the background. I think the little pool and mountain area is the best part of the background because it is separated from the sky and is immersive and does well at providing relief the eye needs.
I love the palette and the stormy nature, and can definitely understand all of your decisions. Maybe if the sky was dulled a bit in contrast and or brightness, the background elements could be a bit easier on the eyes, be more readable and therefore immersive, and maybe even add to the dreary nature if darkened/greyed.
sorry it's so late.. but I appreciate the comment on the palette FlyGuy. thanks :)
