Hah, I like it. It feels like a Mother enemy - like it's just turning to look at you, but somehow it's inherently evil, hah. Cool! I think the mouth could be more curved to follow the shape of the head, unless it's head is flat, in which case I think the shading could show that a bit more (having the shine be more of a line instead of a spot, for example). Anyway, it's cool!
I immediately thought of Mother 3 when I saw this... great job! You've really captured the fun of the style!
