Your outlining is good, but you're pillowshading a bit in places. That said, the afro is gorgeous.

 Neh, maplestory sprites are shorter and more chibi like.

I can't say i like your base very much,  there's just something about it that i can't put my finger on that bothers me.. perhaps the anatomy is too stylised and il-defined/slim for my tastes.. *Shruggs* i dunno.

However, that being said, I have to agree with Albaz, those hairstyles are really kickin' rad and are the 'eye candy' of this piece for me =)
