That is indeed very helpful, and I shall use it all when editing. More fluid movements will be good, I hope that we'll be able to use a decent amount of frames in the game. :)
I would only say that the stationary pose, before animation, is the sort I personally would usually use (irl) as the step before moving into a boxing pose. I modeled it after that. :p
She may be anatomically proportioned (with the obvious exception of the head size but that's not unusual in many styles, and also her right hand seems really big when she raises it) but that doesn't have anything to do with the pose being stiff or not. Movement and the bending of joints creates a natural pose and dynamic actions, while the lack of movement and unbending joints creates a stiff pose and actions that look like they're proformed by a robot. This has nothing to do with proportion.
Her entire torso is straight vertical and doesn't bend even when jumping, which simply isn't how a person's body works. As I mentioned, her left arm barely moves in any animation, but try jumping while holding your hand at your side nearly still. Her right arm attempts to raise during the jump, but for some reason the arm at the shoulder doesn't bend and so nothing above the elbow moves. Her hips are level with each other even while jumping, but when her right leg rises her right hip should too with her left hip lowering. At the same time, her shoulders should do the opposite (at least while walking, not in every case).
In the idle animation, there's not much a person can do to be more stiff than standing with both arms straight down at the sides. At the same time, it doesn't match with the position of the legs, which are very far apart. Try placing her hands on her hips, with both elbows bent a little, and bring her feet closer together. Although if she's fighting then why have her hands down, even while idle?
I hope that helps. :)
I shall work further on the idle animation. When I hear a bit more info about what's actually happening with this game, I'll edit accordingly.
I don't think I'd agree that it's too stiff - it is a fighter animation, and the pose is perfectly anatomical. What about it bugs you?
Thank you for commenting. :)
Looks pretty good, but the idle animation is a little confusing because her feet move back and forth. I wasn't sure if she was standing still or walking very strangely. :)
The overall stance is very stiff and unnatural. She needs to relax a little and maybe move her left arm some.
Really nice infomation tanuki, thanks.
