 Hmmm...I think you could improve on this pixel art a bit by reducing the contrast of the shading. Make the shading brighter, and use a lot more of it. You should also try and look into improving the texture of the cow, as it looks very 2-dimensional. The cow also needs a bit more character and could use more defined facial features. There's a lot to improve on in this piece.
