yay, first post. over at pixelation this caused quite a stir with people thinking it to be a reduced cg image(its not) i really was just using my colors in a confusing manner. this is somewhat recent, but i am at a state where i suck up every little thing i see and just get better by the second. hope you like it

i just scanned in the drawing then made the lineart. but with the lines so thick on this i probably could make a lineart with quality compared to this one on the computer. but the freshness of it would probably go away.
heh, thanks i think the color restriciton ADDS to some of my works like this because it gives off those wierd color usage techniques i use. just, youll have to have your eyes take one for the team while looking at it
The color restriction is marvelous and a genius idea, and you have'nt even ruined the quality of your pixelart, whihc is incredible. Have you drew it dirrectly on your PC or retraced a real drawing?
Honestly, I think the reason why so many people thought it was color reduced is because of that awkward bright red color. It's so nonensical that I think people were thrown off by it.
really the only things that i would think have wierd color usage is is hair and part of his bangs, with the highlights on the hair and the red in his bangs, at the time i thought it made things pop out, quite frankly i still think it does. thanksoh and ive developed the style a bit more, it involves more dithering and less out of this world techniques. still keeps the outlines and the mood tho

wow, I don't know wether to like it, or critique it!...this style has confused the B.O.B.....now that thats outta the way, I do feel a little strangeness from this new style, what with the the strange color placement and all, but I'm not gonna hate on it, cuz it's not bad. I'd like to see this style develop more in the future with you. I do love the see through effect of the hair and eyes though....good job..
I think it's quite good. I think they thought it was a reduced CG because of the overly thick outlines that you don't usually find in pixel art. But it's pretty easy to tell that it was pixeled and not CG'd.
