I think I recall seeing these on Shirtpunch/TeeFury/Ript? Great job in that regard. :)
The limited 8-bit style lends itself well to shirt design. And even though it could be intentional, in the sense of emulating so-so line art in the earlier days, I think the line art in most cases could be stronger. The silhouettes are generally very strong, but you could get way more effective line art if you use the black to act as your method of applying volume. Most of the highligted characters are really lacking form.
Great concept though. :)
I think the characters look a little flat. I think you should try using black to shade the characters more, since that's what an NES game styled like this would typically do instead of leacing the characters dull and unappealing. I love that giant bloody streak in the Viper Assassin one!
PERFECT!!!!
Metroid
Kill Bill
Alien
Star wars
Avengers
Godzila!!!!
So cool -_-
Boba Fett shows up twice, but it's okay; he's just that cool!
I agree that, in some cases, the silhouetted characters are more interesting than the fully-rendered ones. In these (especially Samus and Iron Man) the dynamic pose would render their silhouette unrecognizable, which throws a weird contrast between them and their co-players (for whom you controlled the pose and silhouette so effectively).
