If you give the stem a leaf, that would provide a sense of scale to the fruit and prove that it's not a cherry.
Good shading, though I must agree with the previous comments, overall it looks much more like a cherry. (Again, probably because of the color choices and shading, though the shape indicates that it might've wanted to be an apple at some point :D)
Shading is nice, I sort of like the non-dithered light red in the preview compared to the bigger version. Though I guess there's a lot of reflected light so the apple looks like glass. great job though!
No, it's because of the shading, shape and color choices that make it look like a cherry. You made it look slightly transparent.

I think its because I used too much red color ( there should be a bit of orange may be)
