Shoulder gatling? Looks rad, but how do you handle the recoil? :) Really nice design tho.
Also as failureboy said, this need a bit more highlight... in x1 it's kinda hard to read due to eveyrthing being dark.
This is an interesting character with an interesting sci-fi/fantasy vibe. At normal size it looks like a dark mess, but it improves drastically as you zoom in.
I think the problem is that you cram so much detail into so small a space, and also that you put shading on everything - and that the shading you do use has very little color. Try working on the sprite without considering light sources first, and when you decide to start shading, play with the hues a bit. I think many of your sprites would look better if they had interesting colors in the shadows.
Also you could try focusing more on highlights than shadows.
