Thanks for your comment. I was trying to portray something like http://idahoptv.org/dialogue4kids/images/season10/prey/raptor.jpg (pic from Google, not reference). I know my works is overdithered. But when i try to cellshade it looks like vector art.
The creature's design and weapon are quite solid already. I think you could have added more depth to it by adding more shading steps to the main blue areas of the demon. Also, you use a lot of dithering in your work that isn't really necessary. Especially on the beak here, it would be more logically to seperate the head from the beak with more determined line work instead of fading them into each other like you did.
I agree with robotriot in the blue shading since it's looking pretty flat. However i disagree with him in the beak stuff. that's a matter of style, even if the way robo says would help making the beak alike the lined style you used in the rest of the image. Also it's hard to identify it as either an angel or demon as required in the challenge..
Nice character anyways.
