This is very nice. the hands look a bit flat though, and the ears on the girl, especially his right looks too close in relation to the eyes unlike you did it in the head she is holding.
Really cool, for some reason it reminds me of that twighlight type theme from zelda, really good job!
I love the strategic color use and AA here. Great job making it look so soft within the confines of the palette and making such a creative use of the challenge! I love that hair and the aliasing on the legs. *_*
My only nitpick is that it feels like there isn't a lot of shading on the skirt? AA aside it's mostly one color and it feels like it could use a bit of shadow between the legs, it sticks out a bit to me when compared to the areas like hair and legs that have a lot of shading. I wish I could better describe that. The rest is fantastic, though.
Are you Indian too? She is a goddess worshipped by Indians, especially in Hindu culture. Nice to see Hindu goddess on PJ :D
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Ptoing I appreciate the crits. You pretty much enumerated everything I struggled with while working on this piece. I've gone ahead and implemented a few of the issues. I've removed the dark red/purple aa that wasn't working. I also added a bit of hue to the grey and dropped it's value. The fingers I'd like to fix, but I'm still working on it.
This is pretty nice, love the hair. I got a few crits though.
The greyish colour you got is almost invisible, kinda pointless.
The dark purple/red colour does not work as aa between the dark blue and the darkest colour.
The hands could use proper fingers.
I like your color choices . You might have considered putting some red in the hair at the bottom, because it really flattens out there. nice pixelin'.
