Thanks for compliment. :)
I started out with the gameboy style pallete but I actually almost changed it so that each game would have a palette based on a prominent color from the main character. I thought that might a bit distracting though so I ended up keeping them all the same.
@ Azuyre - Mine, too. The soundtrack to Gimmick! is absolutely stellar! I love how you managed to scale down every screen of each NES game to a 16 x 16 tile while keeping each of the game's essence intact. Not a very easy thing to do—especially with the Game Boy palette.
Very nice, you got them all right!
I hadn't expected anyone to recognize Gimmick! since it's a bit obscure, it happens to be one of my favorite nes games though so when I couldn't think of a well known ninth game right away I decided to add it in. :)
Hm... let's see.
We have: Super Mario Bros, Kirby's Adventure, Blaster Master, Mega Man 2, Metroid, Castlevania, Contra, The Legend of Zelda, and I'm guessing the last one's Gimmick!, is it not?
Glad you guys like it. :)
For some reason I've always liked trying to pack a lot of detail into a small space with pixel art so this was a pretty fun experiment. Also, seven does happen to be Contra x-death.
i recognize 5 as metroid. but i couldn't get any of the others. im thinking 7 might be contra.... however at that size its just to hard to identify things.
Soo tiny. this is really cool.. I'd get a kick out of playing these with:

Love how they look so good, along with the small spaces used. Great job! I can't recognize some of them, but probably haven't played those xD
Really cool idea, interesting to see how minimal and general shapes can still be recognized. I only can guess about 5 of them though. 2, 3, 7, and 9, I have no idea.
I think it useless. May be it shows some skills, i dont know, but useless.
