I like the colour and texture for the rocks.

I for one think that the awkward sense of depth works in a way. Almost like those tilted and skewed Japanese isometric views. Why? Well we are introduced to a scenario with objects diminishing in scale as they wander towards the horizon. 

However, the sun/moon/planet in the background might be helped by another color. Now it feels like an object stuck onto the top. The dark background and the highlighted areas on the rocks is incoherent in a way.

Mmh. You're right I have forced myself to respect a doodle made before and I think I've been limited in the interpretation. Next time I'll not be close-minded like that.

You are not the artist that I've once saw! I think there is no perspective and colors aren't thaaat great, water is hard to read and sand too. I started editing your piece and ended up changing everything lol...

I think your piece doesn't have a main idea, its just rocks, sand and moon without perspective. 

 That's because it's not water but sand ^^". Maybe not obvious sadly.

I dint like the sharp transition between the lower water and them the flowing one.
