I like it, the face seem to be lit from a computer-screen or laptop with some secondary lightning, which might come from an interior or exterior space, obviously artificial. The large single-colored field in the background might suggest an interior out of focus and spacious, rather than a back wall. This could have been helped by anti-aliasing the t-shirt gradually to those dark-torquise-greenish grays. Nice animation although it looks very much as a gesture rather than a genuine smile. *I didn't look at the reference file until after my comment*

I liked the way you did the mouth in first place.

There is no transfer of mass on the smile and the colors are way too dark.
