Also, one way to get colors for art is to look up a real picture of it and use the syringe icon to use colors from the actual picture.
Hey , I'm so happy that you guys are helping me . I realy see the diffrences and I will shange alot . One thing I saw was that I need more light into it , and I need to change my pallet . Thanks .
I won't forget it .
Looks nice, I looked at Pheno's reference and it looks pretty great, you should take a look at that reference, unless you already have.
I added the small streak on the front because of the reflective properties, it was a half-assed attempt at replicating it.
http://sta.sh/01qo80texmx8 Try something like this. It's a quick fix so it's a bit sloppy, but maybe you'll want to do something with this.
Hmm , I've tryed getting some light effects into it but it is realy hard . So , sure . Feedback is allways nice .
Also thank you for staying around giving me the help that I need .
//Edited , I made a crack in it to see if it helped but it realy didn't .
Looks much better! The light source is much easier to identify. I would suggest a bit more contrast between colors since gold is shiny. If you want, I can show you what I mean.
I've changed the colours a bit , this time I didn't put in those beams . Tell me what you think , and tell me what I should add .
Yellow is a very delicate color. You shade ever-so-slightly to green and the entire thing looks green. It's really smarter to shade towards orange and brown (though that can change depending on the atmosphere you want to convey).
Also, the Hue you used is 45. True yellow is 40, so this is actually slightly yellow-green.
Thanks , I've been looking into some other 3D designes so it was no problem . Now I have to fixe the light source .
It was good that you made that comment and I'll make sure you didn't waste your time making it .
But why you are talking green makes no sense becuse there is no green in it . That color is not even close to green .
I'll be remaking this alot . So , ones again , thanks for that comment !
Far too green to be gold. Gold has some green essence in it, but for the most part this should be yellow, orange, and brown. Also, the way the shading is organized, it doesn't connote a proper light-source. Remember that not all the panels on the sides of the heart will be illuminated the same.
The front of the stone looks very nice, but it's quite glassy instead of metallic like gold.
I hope I'm not coming across as too much of a critic or a cynic. I'm just trying to help.
Thanks for that comment ! I will be studdying gold a bit . Then I'll remake it so that it looks more like gold . But like I said , thanks .
I think colors in this picture like emerald, but not gold
Trust me , I have ... :)
Though it is realy hard . It is diffrent with pixel art , and hearts .
Though , nice tip using their colours , I'm on it .
