Yulnuif is an alien I designed for a friend's story, Zeta. The story is very roughly based around Metroid's design, style and theme. Yulnuif is an acid-based creature who would fight Zeta using his ability to swim through acid, and inject said acid into Zeta using his needle-like appendages in his claws. Very good armor is necessary to survive fighting him without a veinful of acid.

The style for this art was heavily influenced by the official art for Metroid: Zero Mission. The shading was tough though, because I had to scrap a lot of good outlines and detail to pull off the shading nicely.
