There was not enough courage to make large images at that time. 
I like this but was kinda hoping to find a large piece on the other end of the preview page.
I realized that this is seasoned knight fighting with dark creatures, so he must not be like prince charming, that's why the hair are short )))
Looks like you fixed the head. Now my only complain would be he doesn't look like he has much hair, but the shading is much better now.
the torch looks a little dull and oversized but the armor looks awesome :D

And my first game was Elven Warrior on the zx-spectrum, very interesting though it was too hard for me :)
well, the point was not to expand palette too much. i'll try to make head better with colors that i have, or will add a couple if i'll fail.

Was an old dungeon crawl game that was recently re-released with updated graphics.
I'm a little thrown off, because his armor has great shading, and his face is a solic color.
It looks like you drew the armor, then cropped an NES face onto it.
thanks. it was inspired by old games about lonely knights in the dark dungeons. thinking of making something like that in retro-style.
You should re-visit this sprite. He's begging you to give him a dungeon to lurk around for loot in!
