Fun idea to magnify something under a microscope. Would be great if we could see it through the lens of the microscope. Dithering usually doesn't work that well for metallic surfaces, it gives a texture to the surface. This would not be a problem here (the bottom part of the microscope is not flat), but it looks unnatural because it is ordered.

And please state real references.
