As Ashkin says, thisjust  looks like a colour reduced, resized photo.

 I don't think I need to provide a reference (credit?) for my own profile icon that I've used for years. I think I'll just redo this. Already feeling a bit ganged up on. Welcome to pixeljoint. 

Judging by the stray pixels, this is just a picture, scaled down, with a reduced color count- probably just a misunderstanding, as you said 'just my usual profile icon pixelated'.

You're going to have to provide a reference for this.
