Sooooo, here's another mockup that I've been working on for about a week or two. This one is a platformer geared more towards smartphones (hence the virtual d-pad). This is more of a rough idea to see if I like the direction this is going, so there may be some colour inconsistensies (but I can't seem to notice them at the moment)
Essentially I decided there isn't a good retro hardcore platformer (akin to super meatboy, n+, etc.) that thrives on speed and point runs. At one point I actually plan to turn this into something, a game I guess, so there's that.
As for style, I kind of wanted to attempt a style that is sort of film-noir inspired. Most of the environment will be grey-scaled aside from items of important, such as traps, power-ups and story points, so when you're running super fast you can quickly notice what's coming up.
I don't think the colour count is accurate, I just know it's below 24, so that's what I put.
