I don't see why it's so hard to believe that I placed every pixel by hand. If you know what a scaled down image looks like when zoomed in, and you then look at this zoomed in, you can tell that there is a clear difference. This is not scaled down at all. There's a hell of a lot of colours because I placed transparent pixels over the top of others etc. You can still see the main colours though, eg. for the red on the card, there's only 3 different shades.
I'm sure you had perfect individual control of all 333 colors ;) Nah, this is obviously a scale-down from a larger image (that may have been ok pixelart to begin with), but now it's a plain 24bit NPA image. There's no point trying to fight or argue with PJ when it comes to things like this... learn & adapt instead.
because I placed transparent pixels over the top of others
Well that just makes it NPA. Please try to understand this: pixel art is about the careful consideration of a 'small' number of colors, how they work together, how each individual color that you deliberately pick visibly improves the whole image (or not), just as much as careful individual pixel placement. In a PA piece, if you remove just one color the difference should be obvious. In this piece, you could remove 200 with little effect. This is NOT a judgement about the quality of your art, which is good, it's just to say that you're missing the point.
You will not get the point until you try
