I'm actually very happy that you are making some brighter areas on this game. I was afraid you were going to limit yourself to a dark theme with the DB16. I look forward to seeing the updates you post about this game more than anything on this site right now. I hope you make a few different zones, that utilize a couple of the colors more than the others. For instance in this zone, I'm seeing a lot of the light blues, light browns, greens. This area is much different then your dungeon area. -- I would love to see a desert with strong yellows/browns, or possibly a tropical jungle/forest using the greens/purple/red's.. Very good work here.
These houses are looking to be in a completely different style than your other work. I'm assuming it is all the same project. Way less detail, much brighter in general.
I would ditch the blue chimney and stick with the brown. It really fits the roof. It's a nice house.
Well Maybe I over saturated the dungeons with a lot of details. Also in the dungeon all is more darker and dirty and in the exterior is all more iluminated and clean.
I need to find a mix where the 2 scenes looks with the same style.
About the icons, ok, i will edit with bigger icons.
Food (Inn?), Weapons, Potions (not the clearest), Armour, and no idea on the last one. I'd guess magic, but only because it seems like its missing from the list. A staff or magic book would be much clearer if it is supposed to be magic. I'd also increase the size of the banners. They look tiny and make the icons unecessarily difficult to read.
I second the comment that this doesn't match your previous tiles very well. Are you planning to add texture later, or is this the level of detail you're aiming at?
Food, weapons, potions, armour, spells?
Cool stuff! Although, I think the buildings look way too cutesy compared to the other stuff you've shown us. 'Course, I'd first need to see and hear about more of the game first, so I'll be patient.
I think there's too much empty space compared to the style for the rest of the art you've shown us. Why not put shingles on the roof? If the grass tiles are not WIP, they could use a lot more detail, too.
The store icons could be clearer if the silhouettes were made more distinct. The apple would read better if it had more of a stem. The left and right edges of the potion look fuzzy. I'm not sure what the last store sells. Balls?
You have a good start here. Nothing needs to be scrapped, just polished. The fronts of the stores look a bit flat, maybe add some shadows to imply depth. The cookie cutter bushes look very cartoon. It's definitely tough to keep everything on the quality level of the awesome stone you drew for the dungeon, but it's worth trying!
