"Caldera" makes me think of Morrowind.

I wish you spent more time on this. It would have been even better.

I think with a lot more polish, this could be a really great piece.  I think the layout is quite interesting, but the whole could be fleshed out much more.

I agree it looks a little unfinished.  Particularly the water, sky, and some shadows but I really like the scene you created.  There is a lot of intrege on why the character is looking out towards the village and why there are stairs to begin with.  Is this a place where sacrifices are made or is he praying for his people?
