Your tree has a shading as if the light environment was different from the rest (like a situation of hard light), you will make it better by not giving it that much shade, (the back receives some light from the grass, the water etc).
She does look disproportionate to the landscape, but I think that's mainly because of the tiny bridge and the tiny gap it bridges. She could just step over it.
I do not have the link to it. It did not get approved. What I am saying is that if they approve yours (which they should imo, there is enough pixel level attention here), they should approve his as well. But there is no real consistency to any of the approving done on here, whatsoever, which is very bad imo.
Yeah, it´s not "clear" PA from your and maybe from PJ´s point of view... And I´ve already answered how I made it to other people in this discussion... If someone wants to rejected my piece, let´s do it!! It´s a good piece for me as a PA beginner... And next time it will be better one and PA at all the fuckin´ ways!!! I promise!!! ;D
Thanx...;) But as I´ve already written, my "know how" of making of this piece used a lot of ways, not only PA... But I don´t think it´s definitely NPA as you´ve written... I made tiles, I had to arrange and make the majority of all elements pixel by pixel, so I think the only one problem of this piece is a fuckin´ palette!!! And again, as I´ve already written, next time I´ll use another way, which will be only PA and everyone will be happy!!! :D I hope...;)
I´m sorry, but your link isn´t functional...:( Send it again, please, I wanna see it... But I understand your comment... I´m new here on PJ, so I exactly don´t know, what is OK, and what isn´t... If someone from PJ admins will want to rejected my piece, because of some "incorrect" ways of my "know how", so do it, nevermind...;) I´ll make another iso landscape, which will be the correct PA at all, maybe!!! ;D
This is clearly a colour reduction to 256 colours. I highly doubt it just lands on that colour count by coincidence. Infact, Introducing Ulti's 50 colour edit:

It probably does lose a little bit of oomph - but at 206 colours less and not much in the way of pixel pushing by myself - what do you expect. There was litterally about sixty colours in the shadow alone, and I found several colours that existed for only 2 pixels. If I moved the colours around I could make it much closer to yours, but well I don't want to waste ages on something that's not mine. I just honestly feel as though this was colour reduced as 256 colours is a mighty strange number to fall onto by shear coincidence.
PJ staff have been biased and unprofessional in a lot of situations, it's one of reasons I have been inactive from this site, and these kind of mistakes are repeling me from PJ
You mods really need to get your shit together on what you let in and what not and make it consistent. Nothing wrong with this piece imo, but if you let things like this in, why does stuff like this get rejected? Seriously, the politics behind what gets rejected and accepted here are a joke.
Thank you too...;) Maybe it looks like NPA, but be sure it´s made from pixels and tiles...:D Only water- and shadow-transparency fx were made in Photo-Paint, but I hope it´s not a big indiscretion against PixelJoint rules...;D Do you know how to make transparency fx in another "PA" way?!? Pixel by pixel?!? :P
Thank you too...:) And thank you for a good idea with the dirt layer... You are right, I put the grass layers directly to the rock layers... Next time it will be beter...;)
Thanx...;) And I understand what you mean... You are right - some elements are like "from another movie"...:D I know that I used at least 2 different styles of making of this pixelart... Next time I have to execute all elemets in only one style to gain better look of the picture... Thanx again for your comment and a constructive criticism...:)
This is pretty darn excellent... the only issue I found is that the grass seems to be growing directly on top of the rocks (there's no dirt layer in between). I think a layer of brown between the rocks and the grass would really punch this up... and maybe the areas where the grass tapers off (on top of the rocks) you could spread some dirt around too? That aside I dig this!
I find this piece very well executed, but some of the elements don't seem to get together very well, in style terms. For example the tree and the char are somehow cartoonish, while the grass, rock and water effects are more realistic. It's like when you're watching a cartoon and you know exactly which scene elements the characters are going to interact with by how they're drawn. Hope I saw able to explain what I mean. But again great work overall :)

Very solid work anyway, shame about the colours!
Now try to do it really in PA.
Character is disproportionate to the landscape.

- Looks neat! reminds me N64-ish graphics.

You´re right, inspired by fool, he is the God of PA for me!!! :D
OK, next time I´ll try to make water- and shadows-transparency fx in another way as you´ve written...:)
I forgot to mention - I do really like the look of this - and it is some lovely game art, I just don't think it's pixelart is all.

I agree with Ptoing,
PJ staff have been biased and unprofessional in a lot of situations, it's one of reasons I have been inactive from this site, and these kind of mistakes are repeling me from PJ
This is sick! awesome effort :-)
256 colors, and I don't think transparency is to blame ;_;
Looks great, but definitely NPA.
Just a little rant about PJ:

inspired by fool right? ( the tree )
Yeah, just create a blue palette and draw rocks with it. No need for transparancy, but I understand that its much easier yes.
This looks like NPA, maybe because it's DAMN GORGEOUS.

Wow, top notch stuff!
OH MY GOD, THIS IS PERFECT O_O

The preview should be a crop rather than a downscale, as currently it isnt pixel art
