Kinda went crazy with this. I've never done this before, and it was pretty difficult to do it. I'm not all that good with depth or anatomy, but I kept working on it for two agonizing hours of placing, deleting, and replacing hundreds of pixels and constantly being my own worst critic, thinking I'd end up trashing the whole thing in the end everytime I finished a new frame. In the end, I'm proud of the result, but I still keep coming back to this and thinking I can do something different, but I can't find anything that works much better.
It's kinda sad that I can't quite put this in gameplay for my game, but I'm considering putting it as a loading extra, though if I go ahead with that, I'd probably need to do this with the other characters as well (as Francis isn't the title character, but is still one of the main playable characters).
This was done completely with hand-placed pixels and with no actual reference at hand other than the first Francis image I made
