@stasis, ultimaodin: Thanks for the comment on the glow. I was also a bit weary on it. Will edit to remove the glow and see how it looks. I had trouble thinking what I could do with the shape too, I was stuck on the idea of just doing an emerald. 

@guskooyman: Typical, transparency layer being all checkerboard and me not noticing a near-white pixel -_-

 I like the BG and hilt, but the blade looks a little too thick. Just a preference though ;p

I was having a tough time imagining what could be done with the canvas shape. I like how you turned it into a plaque for the sword. I agree with ultimaodin on questioning the "glow" around the sword, though.

Emeralds are actually quite strong. The have the same hardness as hardened steel and tungsten.

I question the choice of the 'glow' effect around the sword.

lol You have a stray pixel in the top left corner. But other than that it looks pretty nice. And having a sword like that would be very cool. It's too bad a real one would just shatter if you hit anything.
