Hey, guys, here is my entry for this weekly challenge! (I hope the art itself is better than the poem!)

He was a wise elder
that everyone once loved;
He saw avery vassal's inside
and its every intentions
without any doubt and questions
like it's made, entirely, by emerald
 
But the omniscient king
Was bored to see everything
as crystal clear as the gemstone,
Thinking knowing all of this world
 
And one day, in different tone,
He saw someone arising
in shades of yellow, red and gold,
someone that he didn't know.
 
The king, terrified,
Finally, then, realized,
That this world's mysteries,
And disarray, things he didn't see,
Are also part of it;
 
The Golden guy showed
in all its opacity
That this life's never enough
To discover all it's surprises.

I love the lights and reflections inside the image, very good art. And the poem... oh man GREAT combination!

 haha, thanks, man! Glad you liked the poem - it's my first time with Pixel art, althought it's not my debut at poetry! :D And, yes, the theme itself, a gemstone color, can easily be related to any mid-aged history!

I'm not sure which is better the poem or the pixel piece. Both are decent. Honestly, I like the poem more, it made me think someone should have done a rendition of 'Sir Gawain And The Green Knight'
