More RPG enemies!  How original of me!  Three of these were made for a challenge at OpenGameArt which involved remixing other's art.  The fourth was a test piece to see how feasible it would be to convert AncientBeast's painted assets to pixel art.  As such, all four of these have their roots in other pieces of art, all four are openly licensed.
The Anglerman and Dirg (upper left, lower right) are based on concept images by 5hiroi, available http://opengameart.org/content/the-angler-man and http://opengameart.org/content/a-dirg .

The Naga is based off of this sprite by Heather Lee Harvey (aka Emerald) : which can be seen here http://opengameart.org/content/loyalty-lies-monsters-earth-monster-04

@Snowk: while that does cut down color count and give a more cohesive look overall, it makes simple recolors somewhat harder on devs, especially those who aren't super art-comfortable.
@Ababwa: thanks =D  I really liked working with that concept.
@||||: I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes this style.  I hope there will be some devs who feel similarly.
The naga is meant to be caught mid-motion, but I see what you mean; it's kinda halfway between balanced and dynamic, which doesn't work as well as I'd like.

Always a fan. I just like this FFVI enemy type style.

The bottom 2 are so creepy and cool (left bottom really creepy for some reason). I agree w/ Ababwa; bottom right guy is  particularly so/ he has character.

I like the cobra chic but it is kind of akward as a static pose or still. It's not bad, but just has to be seen as if in motion, otherwise it looks  a bit topsy-turvy... and reptillian boobs always weird me out. :p
