@Airstyle, In no way have I implied pmoth is an expert or his work is the best eva. He has plenty of room to improve, as we all do. Its just that his work is much better than it seems at first glance on a technical pixelling sense.
@[b]jalonso[/b]: Okay, I get what you mean. I guess I still got a lot to learn about art in general. I realized that his piece was very deliberate in its design. It's so odd, though. Nothing wrong wit that, however. I have to say, it does stand out among the other pieces. I guess I still got a lot to learn about art in general.

@AirStyle, beyond the whatever defines pixelart variations, one thing that must be present in pixelart is 'control on the pixel level'. pmoth's pixels at first glance have a scribbly/oekaki-ish/amateur messiness about it but this is actually very misleading because its his personal style and creative expression that fool us into thinking it 'messy'.
Zoom in and you see that AA is used with care and is delibarate. Not just this piece but anything in the gallery has well chosen, balanced and optimized palettes. And every piece is well designed too.
When his work is in the queue the voting is actually quite mixed and if we went solely on that none of pmoth's work would get in. Just recently we Mods even discussed why one of his pieces that is great was getting so many NO votes and it just has to be a first impression with this artist...very interesting... very confusing...I love it.

You are very original and creative and make good technical pixelart but you have to zoom and inspect closely to see this because generally speaking at first glance all your work reads messy, dirty and just plain wrong...
