Putting all construction methods to the side--the design looks pretty good. Though seeing how almost looks like pixel art at 1/1 zoom, you might be able to reduce the colors, and then clean it up a bit so it follows PJ restrictions (I'd only do that in this case only).
It was clearly said this is not pure PA but meanwhile got accepted in the gallery, this sooo logical %D
Never mind, in think your characters are very cute, hope to see more from you soon :)
Yeah, being used to creating illustrations and not pixels, I must say I use the dodge and burn tool a lot. That probably is what bumped the color count through the roof. Didn't expect to have the pixel police after me, i'll keep that in mind for future work ;)
Not only is it too much, but that usually means other methods were used in it's creation, such as blur tools.
If you honestly created 500+ different shades for this image and placed them by hand, then Kudos to you (although you easily could have gotten away with less colors).
It amazing but I must say I am sort of a skeptic due to the color count ;_;.
PJSpecs is finding over 510 colors on this, which leads to me believing that used a tool to give it such a large amount of colors.
Regardless of the color count, most of the significant details are precise.
