Yep, I know, I have not copied anything so far and probably shant for as long as I am a participating artist.
Please do not copy an existing project or mockup. Just be inspired and use as a ref to guide you. In the Medici game I mentioned, I did not copy Zelda at all. I just used the perspective and the logistics of the game from which to work from to develop my own tiles and ideas, k.
Wow, thanks thats a good suggestion, I'm also looking at tilesets for a game called knytt.
There is no real tutorial for that because all games are unique and have their own restrictions and stuff like that. I suggest being inspired by an existing game or mockup you like in the gallery and then explore your own originality within those confines. For example, my Medici mockup game is inspired and comes directly from Zelda, the Minish Cap as a source of inspiration. From there I just took off.
Ah, thank you for the opinion and tip a ton, though I am trying to make a mockup and I think I will be adding much more detail. Also, do you have any good tutorials on how to make tilesets for side view games, it would help a ton.
They are not bad. I did not say that. I only said you've displayed more skill than this and one should try to be better with every piece. There is lots you can do here in developing form especially.
Mmmm, you may be right but I must say, they looked pretty good close up. I still cant figure out how to make leaves but then again I didn't really think they would look good with leaves.
This is very much below the standard and quality you have set up for yourself...you are better than this :/
Thanks! I'm thinking about trying to make better trees but thanks a lot for some feedback!
