Maybe I'll add an option to choose from different types of strider, I've been thinking about doing an 8 legged one, a spider strider. :P
@ Connor: I've added a couple of lighter streaks. :)
aaahhh, that's damn epic. Maybe add a streak of the lighter colour into the darker side? Because right now it looks like a corner with one side in shadow.
@ Connor: The planet has Saturn like rings which is what you see in the sky.
@ Geti: I've redesigned the strider isn't quite finished yet but looks better than it did before :)
Got to agree with this. the player mecha lacks personality and looks more like a repeating enemy ship. the aircraft looks alot more interesting/fun to play as. Also, is that some kind of monolithic tower in the background? or an atmospheric effect? it's hard to tell what it's supposed to be.
Everything in this is great except for the actual mecha.
Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong, but it just seems like it'd be waving those block legs around to walk. There's no real reason to have feet that taper at the bottom as they'll just sink into terrain, and it just feels like a boring design.
The pixel work elsewhere is great, but I'd work on it more since I presume it'll be what you're looking at for most of the game.
love the background design (as well as fg) and the colors are perfect
Mmh, maybe u could work the colors of the machins and stat-bar, maybe saturate or reduce luminosity, to make it more linked with the rest of the picture :p
I said maybe i'm not an expert :p
Much better! The strider's leftmost leg still lacks a shadow.
@ Manupix: Agreed, so I've made some modifications and hopefully the issue is fixed now.
very very nice gfx, superb colors, clean design, contrast between background and 1plane
like it a lot
I love all the details that are packed into such a small resolution. Awesome palette as well!
Woah I want to play this. Great texturing on the rocks.
Whoa badass pixelin'!
I have one major issue though: all the sprites seem to float in air, while the dunes look faraway.
There's probably a mix of reasons to this: contrast mostly (it's hard not to see the dunes and near cliff as affected by atmospheric perspective); also the dunes look like having a strong upward slope while the sprites appear to be level, with straight and level shadows.
So awesome...*Salutes*
Btw.. I think the robo stands out from the BG? Dunoo if that's intentional though
Good one! Remember me of Mrmo style.
PS: This is Dawn's pallete?
its not the fact its worst pixelled, its because I like more sharp stuff :D Imo fits better with pixelart! ^^
edit: post all the versions here :p
