you nailed it, and why do you remind me of a classic rpg player?

It all depends on your app and how it handles that stuff. What do you use? If you make whatever is going to be trans a color not anywhere else in the art and then use an online utility like iaza.com for the challenge till you figure out your app.

Does anyone see Darth Vader black shadow here or it's just my bug? )))  

well I tried to make border transparent, but when I upload it that way it shows white border. Should I do it anyway and it will automaticly become transparent or is there some other trick that I am not aware of? (I am kind of new in this so I have to ask). And just to mention that I saved it as gif with transparent background in Graphics Gale 

The card looks nice but mmm, the gray border doesn't match.
