So I made the guy for an avatar on a Homestuck RP forum, then uploaded it, then realized that the white AA wouldn't work on some backgrounds :/ Didn't want a plain stupid BG so I decided to enter this weeks contest : ) The small text didn't take much but the Derse dreamer and Doom aspect symbol took alot of effort to get just right. So I'll go ahead and explain everything there, the colored squares at the very top represent aspect stats, Time, Doom, etc. and affect defense and attack. The purple moon indicates that the character is a Derse dreamer, which in turn dictates the outcomes of certain situations. On the side is the name, and below is the character's assigned Strife Specibus, or assigned weapon class. At the bottom left you can find the Doom aspect symbol and the word thief underneath indicating that the character is the Thief of Doom. This determines some statistics and abilities, and in addition dictates the outcome of certain situations. The skill shown is Stolen Kind; The player can steal any enemy abilities that involve the described aspects(colored squares). The sword and shield icons represent the base attack and defense stats, which then are affected by the character's class (The Thief class is an active class so in turn attack receives a boost) which is then affected by the characters aspect stats. I.E you use a normal Aggrieve card, it has a base of 3 hit points, multiply that by ten, it's 30, add 3 because of your class, 33, now choose which aspect you want to attack with(in this case Doom, the characters strongest aspect) add it, 53, and divide by 2, 27 (In the case of an unven number, flip a coin and choose heads or tails. If you win the toss, add a point and continue to divide, and in the case of failure, subtract a point and continue to divide.). Your Aggrieve now has 27 attack points, and lets say that the opponents Doom aspect is 4 and has a defense of 5. You multiply the two and divide by two, and subtract it from the attack. Your aggrieve ended up dealing 17 damage, which is taken away from the opponents health (A card's health is its defense multiplied by it's main aspect; Marx's health would be 40). |
