The hair and shirt needs as much love and detail that the clouds recieved.
Oh, righto. Should be switched out with the raw version now.
Yeah, the version without the checkerboard looks better anyway
The picture of the link looks better because its contrast with the character, and because the plain blue keeps the style of the entire picture.
The PJ gallery accepts no CG/tool usage at all. Please upload pure pixel version using the 'edit it' link under the art and add a link to this hybrid version in the description, thx :)
I dunno, I kinda liked the post-process-y look with the grid and gradient - though I admit the raw version (http://i.imgur.com/2WzEQua.gif) has a bit more 'oomph' to it. That might be something of a personal preference for me - I like things like bloom and film grain way too damn much.
The background looks like a checkerboard grid on overlay or something ontop of a gradient that you've run posterize on? This doesn't do your clouds justice. I'd suggest removing the checkerboard pattern, leaving your clouds as is, because they look amazing, and just leave the sky as a constant.
Mmmm, the background doesn't look hand made. And try using some aliasing and shadows.
The animation and the style look good.

Here's the version with the overlay still on - it's not too dramatic a difference, just enough to satisfy someone with a bloom fetish (me).
