Love the palette on this landscape. Also, I really want to play this.
reminds me of DINORUN

I found the colors are roughly where they need to be but the hue is maybe off in that it does not suit the setting of the scene. I think Hapiel has the right idea of desaturating the BG and saturating the playable areas.
Reminds me of a Pixel Jam game called Dino Run, but this is way better.
Cool setting, and good luck with your game!
As for the colors, I suggest that the background is greatly reduced in its saturation, perhaps the grass on the foreground can more saturated and this will make the foreground pop out much more.
Also I suggest you clean up the clouds, they are very jaggy though clouds usually read as someting smooth and soft!
I don't know exactly what it is, but I am in love with your work! This stuff reminds me of the glory days of pixel art: high character levels despite low resolution. Awesome!
Thanks a lot for all the feedback.
I don't want to use any dithering for our game art, I prefer the clean and overly minimalistic style that comes from no dithering (and no AA).
Concerning the colors - I know my colorwork is not the best, and I have a hard time deciding for a palette. Can you give me any tips on what you would do different to improve the colors of this piece?
Why? Use dithering for the sake of using it seems pretty pointless and dumb...
This is nice.
the atmosphere is top notch, though I feel that the green of the grass and the turquoise raptor are fighting each other in terms of colors and the whole scenery could be heavily improved if you'd apply AA.
this scene makes me want to play the game. That palette gives so much depth.
Thats very cool! I'd really like to see this game in action!
You have a great style and color combinations
