I decided to skip the large, undetailed portraits I had (see here) and go for smaller, more rendered and full body (almost) portraits. I feel much more comfortable making these. Hopefully the smallness doesn't take away from the expressiveness. They'll still be animated (blink / mouth mostly) of course.

As for Brainghosts "transparency", I'm still thinking about what to do there. Break the pixel spiti and use 50% alpha? Dither? I dunno.

Also to the left, I threw in some ingame sprites. And I redid the speech bubble.

The game is progressing too, but slowly.
