 It's been a while since I came here !
I didn't quit pixel art though, but I've been busy with my studies and didn't have much time to keep hanging around here.
Here's an extract from a pixel art zine I started yesterday. Other pages will follow, hopefully.

cool idea to make a zine. This reminds me a lot of amy and jordan

Hmm, I actually prefer this one with the zoom factor.  I think pre-zooming things actually works when pieces use a low number of high-contrast colors on a small canvas.

Pretty cool use of patterns and volumes. Welcome back, Manjaman!

Holy monochrome! This instantly give me associations with The Cyberiad. How do you like Lem?

@all, Pixeljoint prefers 1X pixelart but whenever an artist states that pre-zommed pixels is an artistic choice then that supercedes everything.

Nice to see Manjaman again :)

really cool. it would be great to see the original size though. maybe you could put a link to the normal size version :)

It's not compulsory, more of a moral stance =)
It goes just like white backgrounds: if it makes sense, stick to it!
The usual lazy reason people upload enlarged stuff is the blurry zoom issue with inferior browsers ;) and that's usually not beneficial to the piece.

 Hi Manupix !
Didn't know about the resizing ban, is it really compulsory to submit actuel size pieces ? (maybe I forgot, but I don't think it was back in the days).
That's too bad, I'm mostly working with big fat pixels these days, wich are supposed to be seen this way, especially black and white stuff. It's part of the aesthetics I'm looking for.
Anyway I'll resubmit it actual size if it's necessary.

Thank you anyway, man ! It's good reading from you !

Hey there, welcome back ;)

Beware of jal's ire when he catches you submitting x3 resized stuff (and he's right too!).

Waiting for the next page(s) =)
