I'm not sure if we understand each other. What I saw was that the anatomy appears to suggest that it's kind of there, then the art style suddenly shifts to render the face with cartoon symbols.

 actualy, the cylindric characters are pretty accurate. wiki.rippersanime.info/Sergio/deckman.jpg they are pretty comedical in design by default. I agree with the background, but I wanted to have this sort of shift in it. 

 it bugs me that her body doesn't move at all, maybe its just me.

That sudden shift in art style with is amusing, but it really does feel jarringly different from the art style it started with.
