Very nice :-) I would make the explosion a bit longer, it's hardly seen. It would increase a bitt he irony also, IMHO :-)

Yes, it would probably take a lot longer time for plants to start growing again then cities do develop. Anyway, 5/5 + fav. I fu***ng love this animation.

I can always expect a fascinating animation from you, d-p.  I love the idea behind this animation, but the frames go a little fast at the end, so it's hard to understand what's going on. (but I understand why you did that, things are moving faster with technology and such).
